Loving this printer.  Bought it because Epson has failed me 2x. 

 

But...

 

scanning seems wonky.  I need to scan a double sided document into ONE pdf file.  ADF is not 2 sided (for the price of this printer, are you kidding me?)  Scanning from flatbed only sends 1 page, there is no, "insert next page" or "flip the paper over" or "do you want to scan more than 1 sheet" message.

 

I suppose I could make a copy of page 2 (wasting paper, ink (which you charge me for, per printed page), and time), then load both into ADF.  Right now, thankful for Adobe Acrobat DC, so I can stitch together all these 1-page files into the document I need to send.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

The FULL software allows you to scan 2-sided document but need to manually reload the pages into the document feeder.  However, the software will auto rearrange the pages in the correct order after scanning!

(the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 also scans 1 sided on the document feeder so it's a good example to show how the FULL software scans and auto rearranges the 2-sided document after scanning)
