Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M127fw; I installed this printer in 2016.  Only now do I want to use the scan function via the Automatic Document Feeder.  I was just wondering how ppm does this function provide?  Due to the fact that I am not able to scan any documents in this way (I keep getting an error indicating that "The scanner Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) does not currently contain any pages to be scanned:).  I just don't know what is wrong and I am not able to reach HP Support.
