Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

I am scanning from my phone and it’s saved as separate pdfs?

Welcome to HP support community.

  1. Tap the Camera Scan tile or the Scan icon .

  2. Place a document or photo as flat as possible on a solid, contrasting surface. For example, place a light-colored document on a dark surface, or a dark-colored photo on a light surface.

  3. Select Manual mode.

  4. Hold your device steady over the item you want to scan, and then tap the Capture icon  to scan the item. When the print preview screen displays, tap the Add Pages icon  to add additional pages to the scan job.
