My Deskjet 1510 printer running Windows 10 always prints the date and time at the bottom of the page. How do I remove this feature? Thank you.

You're absolutely right to want this fixed—having the date and time automatically printed can be distracting, especially when you're aiming for a clean document. 

The good news is: this behavior isn’t controlled by your HP Deskjet 1510 itself, but by the application you're printing from, most commonly your web browser or PDF viewer.

Here’s how to remove the date and time from your printed pages:

If You're Printing from a Web Browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

Open the Print Dialog

• Press Ctrl + P or go to File > Print

Look for “Headers and Footers” Option

• In Chrome:
  • Scroll down in the print preview and uncheck “Headers and footers”
• In Edge:
  • Click More settings → uncheck “Headers and footers”
• In Firefox:
  • Click Page Setup → go to Margins & Header/Footer
  • Set Header and Footer fields to Blank

Print Again

• The date, time, and URL should no longer appear at the bottom of the page.

 

If You're Printing from a PDF Viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader)

• Adobe doesn’t add headers/footers by default unless you’ve inserted them manually.
• If you’re seeing date/time, check if the document itself contains them.
• Try printing from a different app or re-exporting the PDF without metadata.
