How to scan a document to PDF

Just received this printer. Not handbook, so I am trying to figure out how to scan a document and save it to PDF without printing.

HP Printers - How to Scan (Windows)

HP Smart for Windows and HP Smart Mobile both provide Scan for PDF documents and images.

After the item is scanned, it can be "saved" or "shared" (emailed, for example)
