How to scan at more than 300 dpi
03-07-2021 08:11 AM

Hi,
I'm using a HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw to scan to my iMac using MacOS Big Sur version 11.2.2 via HP Easy Scan but I am unable to increase the DPI beyond 300.
I am trying to scan old photographs of my parents as my Mum recently passed.
Can anyone let me know how to increase this to 600 dpi to improve the quality?
Many thanks
Badger

Hi,
From HP Easy Scan open the Presets menu and click on Edit Settings.
Set the Scan Type as Photo and the Source as Flatbed Glass, then higher scan resolutions should become available in the list.
