Product: HP 8030 Series

Greetings: I've checked the HP Community Boards and don't see this question, solved, as it relates to: how to scan kodachrome slide negatives with HP 8030 & HP Smart Scan Software.

Of course, I own the HP 8030 flat bed scanner & HP Smart Scan Software, but do not, as of yet, own what's being referred to as a Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA). Is such an adpater required?

Moreover, it appears as though the HP Smart scanning software does not allow one to choose "slides" or "negatives" as a photographic source. My options are: "photo" or "document".

If it is possible to scan negatives using the HP 8030 flat bed scanner & HP Smart Scan Software, could someone provide a n end-to-end walkthrough?
