Hello. For the past year I have had my HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276n printer installed on my computer and working without issue. I was able to scan a document to JPG or PDF and save to my computer, using an HP program. The program looked like this (that screenshot was taken from this HP how-to-scan page). But recently, for unrelated reasons, I had to reinstall Windows. After, I was able to reinstall my printer and get it to print again. But I cannot figure out how to get it to scan using the same HP program. How do i install that program? I believe it is called 'HP Scan?'
If I visit the HP website, search for my printer, download the fulll Software and Drivers program, and run it, the only option it gives is to uninstall--as if everything has already been installed.
The printer is connected to my computer via USB.
Thanks in advance.

I would run the uninstall as it might be corrupted and then install the full install again.

Thanks for the reply. But when you say, "...install the full install again," what exactly do you mean? There appear to be two methods to install this printer:
Method 1. Download the fulll Software and Drivers program from the HP website and run that.
Method 2. Connect the printer to the computer via USB, turn on the printer, then follow the on-screen prompts to run the indicated software.
The reason I ask is because I have never been able to get method 1 to work. Whenever I try, the program hangs on 'Connecting the printer' for 20 minutes, then fails with a fatal error (screenshot). That has occurred several times on my desktop computer, and twice on my laptop computer. Method 2 is what I've used to install the printer on my desktop computer. I've used it twice--most recently a couple days ago.
