I have bought a new Macbook and installed the printer (wireless) and was able to print, no problem. 

 

Now I wanted to scan, but there is no "scan" button when I open Printers and Scanners . An answer on this website to somebody else's question, said to download Hp easy scan from the Apple store, which I have done. When I open the App, it asks me to select a scanner, but it can't find mine. 

 

I have already tried restarting my Mac and also the printer with no success. 

 

Any advice?

Hi,

Photosmart B110 is the printer model indeed.

 

Ensure your printer drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.

Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.

 

If that doesn't help, install below drivers package from Apple and check for any change when using HP Easy Scan:

sorry, I thought I did that at the start, but it does not show. It is a HP Photosmart Printer/Scanner (bought in 2010).

So I still can't work out how to scan from my printer/scanner. When it is connected to my Laptop it comes up as B110 series. Is that the model? I can't find anything on the outside of the device. Any help would be appreciated!
