Hp Scan to Computer not working/disabled

The above doesn't work.  online suggestions say to find hp printer assistant which i cannot locate to enable scan to computer.

• The full driver printer software is not installed

• The full driver printer software is installed but not working as expected.

• The full driver printer software for your particular printer does not support the Printer Assistant and instead supports the Scan Assistant.

• The full driver is installed -- either the Printer Assistant or the Scan Assistant is also installed as is available on your Desktop as a shortcut icon.

• The full driver printer software is not supported on your computer -- the full driver is either not available for your Operating System version or the full driver is not offered for your printer model.

The installation of the full driver generally adds at least one or more shortcuts to the Desktop.

 Note:  Printer Assistant, HP Scan Assistant, and HP Scan are dependent on printer model and supported software options.

• Printer Assistant – Where still supported as part of the full driver printer software
• HP Scan – Shortcut on Desktop named for the printer model

OR

• HP Scan Assistant – For those printers that no longer provide the Printer Assistant
• HP Scan - Shortcut named for itself

AND / OR

• When installed, HP Universal Scan software adds a separate self-named “HP Scan” shortcut

Printer Assistant shortcut > Tab Scan > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable

HP Scan Assistant shortcut > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable
