Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone.

In my organization, we use about 100 different good printers (like 426fdw and 400 M425) along with Win10 and Win7 computers. We also have various network configurations.
But one thing is invariable: the old printers are working normally, while the new 227fdw and 428fdw at a random moment in time can lose connection with the computer, regardless of the computer or network configurations. And if the functionality of the basic drivers can be restored, then, for example, the connection with HPscan utility cannot be restored.

For example, my patient today worked great with other computers. Restart, print and scan doctor and standard diagnostic tools said that everything is fine. However, the HPscan utility refused to detect it forever.
Usually we have to do a complete reinstallation of the drivers to fix it, sometimes with cleaning the OS registry.

In this regard, I have two questions:
1) Is this something I don't understand or the new drivers really don't work very well? (And is HP going to fix it if I'm right?)
2) Does 227fdw have any comprehensive uninstallation utility in its software? Because its drivers cannot be removed neither using the Control Panel or by re-running the installer. I haven't even seen a shortcut for uninstall in any of the drivers folders.

Thanks.

I've noticed the same with 428fdw in my environment.  Been using the 426fdw and others for years, simple to setup and rock solid.  Every 428fdw i have installed has been a troubleshooting nightmare.    9 times out of 10 the full webpack driver wont detect a TCP/IP printer on the network (there are several).  Ironically the "easystart" installation program seems to pickup the printer, but then i get stuck with WSD instead of TCP.

One other observation, the web based configuration screens on the 428FDW look much more like my old 8710 Inkjet configuration screens then they do the 426fdw screens.  Most of the lasers on my network (1606dn,m203,m402,426fdw) share a common look and feel that looks more "enterprise / IT facing".  This printer and my inkjets look "consumer facing".  I suspect they dumped consumer firmware into the 428fdw devices which is why we have so many problems 😞
