We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

When starting the HP Smart app, it simply opens to a blank white page.  I have powered down/up both printer and laptop and re-installs the HP app.

The blank white screen is a known issue with the HP Smart app, often caused by corrupted app data, cache conflicts, or Dark Mode settings on your laptop. Because standard restarts haven't worked, try these targeted steps: 
 

1. Reset the App (Windows):
 

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Apps & features).
     
  • Search for HP Smart and click on it.
     
  • Select Advanced options.
     
  • Click Repair, and then click Reset

2. Turn Off Dark Mode:

The HP Smart app's login/startup screen sometimes crashes in Windows Dark Mode.
 

  • Go to Settings > Personalization > Colors.
     
  • Change your mode to Light.
     
  • Reopen the app and test.

3. Clear Store Cache:

Clear the background cache for your system's app store.
 

  • Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
     
  • Type WSReset.exe and press Enter. A blank Command Prompt will appear and close on its own, clearing the store cache.
     
  • Restart your PC and try opening HP Smart. 

4. Run as Administrator:
 

  • Close the app completely, right-click the HP Smart icon, and choose Run as administrator to bypass permission blocks.

Hello.  Jerry_57 sent me a reply to a problem I was having with the HP Smart app.  I tried all 4 of his recommendations but I still can't get past a blank white screen.
