Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Envy will not copy nor scan from glass. It will print from any wireless device. However, it will only print in black & white. Ink cartridges are full, cartridges were cleaned via clean program. No alignment since not printing in color. There is a light on the glass when attempting to scan. Unit has been unplugged, replugged in. Software/ printer has been uninstalled & reinstalled from devices. Printer  is up to date on updates.

I have the exact same issue, started yesterday.

None of the tips offered by HP support has worked so far (tried HP Print & Scan Doctor, among others).

I also completely uninstalled and reinstalled everything from scratch: at least I can now print in color again, but I still have the scanning issue.

I also noted that the photocopy feature doesn't work (the Copy button on the touchscreen is inoperative), same as the Scan button on the printer itself.

Looking forward to a solution, otherwise I'll have to drop HP and go for competition...

If the issue persists please contact HP Support in your region for service options

3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't fix the issue. My printer's firmware was already up-to-date.

I still can't scan. What puzzles me is that not only can't I scan from the PC, but even from the printer itself - the scan button is inoperative, same thing for the copy button 😞
