Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Does anyone know where I can find a control panel to ask my new printer to scan something? I did not get a control panel so can only print 1 paper at a time or copy 1 page at a time. There is no scanning button, however. Scanning stuff into email to send is most urgent for me.  (I have been able to scan a few times by repeatedly clicking on the hp home icon, like 20+ times! and then a page finally opens up that gives me a control panel including a scanning button, but it should not have to be that hard to open this!) Please help, anyone... Thanks!

This printer series does not have a Printer Display Panel that includes the traditional print / scan / settings icons and text input options.  Not.

 

The tiny printer control panel provides a modicum of information using letters, numbers, and lights.

There are a few basic control buttons.

Scan operations are completed using a scan software / application on your device (computer / tablet / phone).

 

For example,

Install and Use HP Smart application (apps available for Windows, MacOS, or Mobile)

Discussed in the User Guide starting on Page 64

 

Observation (Opinion)

At this writing:  The options and features in HP Smart Windows and MacOS are more robust (superior function) to those available for the Mobile platforms.
