Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot access the HP Solution Center Utility from my PC desktop to customize scanning options. I am able to use the scanning functionality from the 8500 itself but its a hassle. When I click on the HP Solution Center icon from my desktop, I get a window that is white in color with a scipted "F" and a scripted "i" in the middle of the window with nothing else. Wheras before all the options for the scanning settings would come up and I could perform the scanning functions right from my desktop via the HPSC utility. I have run the "HP Dr Print/Scan" utility and it says everythihng is working just fine?!  I uninstalled the entire suite for the 8500 for this model via HP and reinstalled it to no avail. The printer works fine-no issues. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Flash Player is retired and no longer working, the HP Solution center software is based on Flash:

https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html

 

You may install HP Scan Extended, then open the HP Scan Extended from the Programs menu and you should be able to scan:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
