We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I dialed the phone number 1-888-473-2963 to fax a test page to see if my printer/ fax , HP ENVY 7855 is working or functional correctly. However it dialed the number and then send the fax document. But it failed because the recipient connection was lost. Any idea what happened here?

Sorry, I do not have access to check the test faxes.

 

You may not receive the fax back if there are any issues on the server or if the lines are too busy. you can try sending a fax to any of your friends and check if they can receive it or try sending the fax to the HP server after some time.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

.From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 4. Touch Fax Setup . 5. Touch Tools , and then touch Run Fax Test. The printer displays the status of the test on the display and prints a report. 6. Review the report. ● If the test passes and you are still having problems faxing, check the fax settings listed in the report to verify the settings are correct. A blank or incorrect fax setting can cause problems faxing. ● If the test fails, review the report for more information on how to fix any problems found.

I did fax a document to the phone number 1-888-473-2963. I indicated the it was sent and accepted. But I haven't received any replies if anyone actually pick up the document and confirm it had received it. Need some one to send me a reply fax so I can be sure my system and connections are set up correctly and working.

Would it be OK  if we can communicate by e-mail? May give me a phone call. Where are you located? I would like to fax to you my Fax Test Report (All passes) and a in house wire diagram of my phone connections and the fax/printer. Perhaps someone on your side can see if there's a problem. Being 78 years old  and almost deaf, I can only be on the computer certain times during the day.

I understand. Unfortunately, we do not have a calling option and we've no email address.

 

Read the following guidelines and tips if the test fax fails to send or the confirmation fax is not received.

  • Add your fax number in the fax header: The service uses the header number to send the confirmation fax. Make sure your full 10-digit fax number is in the header, and that it matches the number of the phone line connected to the fax.

  • Remove conflicting phone line services: Services such as voice mail, call waiting, anonymous call rejection, privacy manager, and caller ID can interfere with incoming faxes. Pressing *82 before dialing the HP Fax Test Service number unblocks the Caller ID blocking feature in most areas. Contact your telephone company if any of these services are interrupting fax communication.

  • Run a fax test: Print a fax test report to identify any issues with the printer, phone line connection, or fax settings. On the printer control panel, locate Run Fax Test or Fax Test Report in the Fax or Setup menus. Review the report for any tests that failed and follow any instructions provided.

I have a response that the fax document was received at 1-888-473-3963. Still no response of confirmation from the receiptant. Since I am on WiFi(MiFi) communication system, not the land lines, I believed I am going have problems receiving faxes. I read the instructions how to that, but it's a kind of difficult to go through with all these steps. That because I have sent faxes to other location and they still will not send me an e-mail or make a simple phone call. For some unknown reason I had to switch my RJ22 cables to the 1-Line and 2-Ext ports, and had to use a 4-wire cable for the  1-Line port. It works, I think! That's because I haven't received any replies. Did you get my fax the other day?

Doesn't make sense! why advertised the Fax Test page phone number to HP? How would I know if it works and you have received it?

As mentioned, if there are any issues on the server or if the lines are too busy, you may not get the confirmation.
