Since upgrading to Windows 10 I cannot scan. The printer states that computer not connected, yet I can still copy and print.

Thanks rb011. I used the print and scan doctor and it pointed me in the right direction. The solution is to uninstall the printer and reinstall the updated drivers from the HP website. Everything ok now. Thanks again.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your scanning issue.

 

I understand that you have not been able to scan with your HP Officejet 5742 e-All-in-One Printer since upgrading your computer to Windows 10. I would like to help with that.

 

I would start by downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing and scanning issues.
