Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

The HP Office Jet Pro 8020 - the printer will not scan documents from the feeder tray.  It will from the flat screen, but not from the feeder.

 

Any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Assume that HP Smart app is being used for scanning.  The source needs to be selected as "Document Feeder".

 

Follow these steps:

1. Select Printer Scan

2. Tap on Down arrow (Letter (8.5x11in)...v)

3. Select Source

4. Select Document Feeder , then tap on Back Arrow (twice)

5.  Tap on Scan (the button on the right of "Source"
