Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I want to use the scan function.  I haven't done this for a number of years.  It worked at that time.  Now I get an error message.  I want to reinstall the driver, but when I put in my serial number it claims it belongs toa different model than the one I have which is a Officejet 6500 e709n.  I am not that tech savvy.  Any help?

Please try HP Scan Extended:  https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

 

Once it's downloaded and installed,

   (a) Hit Win key,
   (b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
   (c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

You can put its icon on Taskbar if you wish.
