Hi @chuck591, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To change the password on your HP OfficeJet 7604 All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:

Change the Wi-Fi Direct Password (for direct printing)

If you are using Wi-Fi Direct and need to change the password:

  1. On the printer's control panel, tap the Wi-Fi Direct icon.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Find the Wi-Fi Direct Name & Password option.
  4. Select Change Password, enter a new one, and save it.

Change the Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) Admin Password

If you need to change the admin password for printer settings:

  1. Make sure your printer is connected to the network.
  2. Find the printer's IP address:
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Network SettingsView Wireless Details.
    • Note down the IP Address (e.g., 192.168.1.100).
  3. Open a web browser on your computer and enter the IP address in the address bar.
  4. Click SecurityAdministrator Settings.
  5. Enter the current password (if applicable) and set a new password.
  6. Click Apply to save the changes.

Change the Wireless Network Password (if needed)

If you want to update the Wi-Fi password on your printer:

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • On the printer control panel, go to SetupNetworkRestore Network Settings.
  2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • Go to Network SettingsWireless Setup Wizard and connect to your new Wi-Fi by entering the updated password.
