I upgraded my macbook to Mac OS15 and now my HP8610 all in one printer will PRINT, but will not scan.  I have gone to the HP software and drivers site and entered the correct operating system, but no drivers are showing up.

IS there a way to fix this problem?

@Hogs85, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Update HP Software: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 8610. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support Website. Enter your printer model and check for the latest software compatible with macOS 15.

Use HP Smart App: Download the HP Smart App from the Mac App Store, which often provides better scanning support compared to native drivers.

Reset the Printing System:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Ctrl + click) on the side panel and select Reset Printing System.
  • This will remove all printers and scanners. You will need to add your printer again by clicking on the '+' button.

Check Scanner Settings:

  • Open the Preview app or Image Capture from Applications.
  • Select your HP printer or scanner from the list.
  • Check if scanning works using these apps.

Check Connection: Make sure that the printer is connected properly over Wi-Fi or USB. A stable connection is necessary for scanning.

Remove and Re-add Printer:

  • Remove the printer from the list in Printers & Scanners.
  • Re-add it by clicking the '+' button and selecting your printer from the list.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
