Receiving this "Undefined" error consistently.  When I scan from the computer, it will scan one page before the scanning device stops at the end and gets stuck there and returns this error (this also occurs through the feeder as well). If I turn it off, it will then scan another page before returning this error for the next page.

AlertID: 8048 [scanWarning]

SMS specification not found

 

I've uninstalled to no avail and I've also used the HP Print and Scan Doctor as well. Warranty expired April 2020. Is there anything that can be done to have this scanner fixed?

What device do you have? Does copying work properly? Testing copying will help to determine hardware or software error.

@Repairatrooper Device does not copy either. It is the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One. The scanning light stays at the end until I restart the printer. Then scans one page before erroring out. Somehow restarting the printer forces the scanning bar to reset.
