Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I have 2 simple bypass solution:

1 - start scanning from the printer; save the file in the same location in Google Drive

2 - use another location

For the moment I will use the first, later I will change the setting for the store location.

So the problem is solved.

Thanks somuch

Hi,

This would most obviously seem to be as any permission related issue, also Windows Defender may cause such behavior.

Please try the following:

  1. Click the System Notification icon and then click Clear all Notifications.
  2. Try scanning using HP Scan, check the Notification area again to deny any related notification (such as any software blocked by Windows Defender which may cause a such).
  3. If any such notification appears, follow the steps on screen to add C:\Program Files (x86)\HP Officejet 574\BIN\HP Scan.EXE as an allowed exception, close HP Scan software and then try scanning again.

As you say you can successfully scan from the printer, can you please let me know the EXACT key sequence you use? (e.g. select Scan, then Computer, then XXX and then select the XXX shortcut.

Please include the steps as detailed as possible to get a better understanding what exact steps are being done on the printer comparing the HP Scan software on your computer, to deny any other software usage (e.g. WSD Discovery usage from the printer while HP Scan being used from the computer)

Also, if you set the HP Scan Software to save the scan to any folder out of your user's folder (e.g. C:\Scan), can you see the same results or may the software save the file successfully when not trying to access the user's profile folder?
