When I go to scan a document and email it, I am receiving an error message saying that the username and password is incorrect. How do I fix this?

 

I've been trying to fix this through defaulting the printer, using the HP doctor software, etc... nothing is working. How do I fix this?

Check with your email provider for security settings.

Mind the reminder in the example regarding 2-step verification (must use apps password) and / or Less Secure setup.

 

If your printer supports it, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check / edit / update / configure Scan to Email.

 

Examples

 

 

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Scan > Scan to Email >  Settings / Scan to Email Setup

hiiiii buddy thanks for asking this. as I really appreciate you that at least asked your problem because lots of people even didn't try to ask these questions. I really admire your knowledge that you had at least tried to fix this problem using simple hacks.

so you can do these things to fix it.

please double-check your username and pass. also login into your email before scanning any document.

Instead of scanning and sending it directly in the mail. I suggest you scan the document first, save it on PC, then send it by mail.
