HP OfficeJet Pro 9012e All-in-One Printer

I have an almost new Officejet Pro 9012e that I set up to use scan-to-email as a shortcut. This worked fine without any error messages for ~5month. Now I get an error message. My printer is configured for danish language but translated to English it says: "An internal error occurred. Try again or check manual firmware update". If I click ok and try again it works without giving the error message. I checked the firmware and confirmed that it has the latest version, "MANHTNPP1N005.2129A.00".

The workaround works for now but a) it is annoying and b) I fear that whatever is wrong will get worse.
