Hello,

 

I am trying to set up scan to email on my HP LaserJet M3035 MFP Series, but keep running into the following error:

 
 
Attention!
’smtp.gmail.com’ is not responding or is not a valid SMTP Gateway Server.
 
The settings I am using:
Device’s SMTP Gateway: smtp.gmail.com
Enable SSL Support for SMTP: Checked
Port: 465
Enable SMTP Authentication: Checked
Use Public Credentials: selected
Username/password: My Gmail email address and password
 
I have been able to get this set up on newer HP printers in our office, but I had to uncheck "Validate certificates for outgoing server connections". I do not see this option on the M3035, even though I have upgraded to the newest firmware. Is there a way to get this to work with Gmail?
