Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP app

1) Advantage 2675 broke the connection with my laptop. This ended the ability to add a new page to the previous scans. This resulted in my having 3 documents, one with 27 pages, one with 23 pages and one with the remainder. i have no idea how to use HP app(it isn't!) to join them together as they were meant to be.

2) In addition, after each scan, HP app allows the scan to be EDITed. This allos rotation and cropping. I tested that I could do multiple scans before EDITing and then left the EDITing untl later. BUT as the WiFi connection was broken, the current multi-page document was lost from HP app . Now, I can't find any way to go back into each of the 3 documents  to EDIT (crop and rotate some but not all pages)

If anyone can suggest a way forward, it will save me literally hours trying to do this scanning again. And if there is a third party app that works better than HP app, which should be easy, I'd appreciate knowing its name.

Thanks for any help. (I tried looking for how to talk to HP and gave up. Couldn't find a chat link or a place to log a support request!)

Very interesting, how you can get HP Smart app to scan to editable PDF's. I would like to know that.

To merge many PDF files together, please use the following free software

        http://www.pdfsam.org/download/

This free product allows you to Split one big file to many small files (such as extracting chapters from a thick book) and also to Merge many pdf files to one pdf file.

Regards.

Banhein, thanks for the PDFsam link. I know of the software but was annoyed when it offered the chance to rotate ALL pages in a multipage PDF document or none. SO I didn't look further. I'm happy to know I can use it to join PDFs but his will only be useful for those I have IF I can rotate tselected pages within a PDF (se next para).

Re HP Smart, I promise you, I scanned a page of a book and, before saving it, an EDIT button allows rotation AND a visual cropper allows you to define (move)  the margins of the page (the easiest cropping system I've seen for any PDF editor). This same EDIT opportunity occurs for each page and HP Smart allows pages to be ADDED to the final document to create a multipage PDF. My problem is that once the WiFi link is lost between Scanner and HP Smart, there seems to be no way at all to get HP Smart to continue with an existing PDF. And I still can't find any PDF Editor that allows individual pages in a multipage PDF to be identfied and rotated  (SmallPDF claims it can do it but I couldn't find !). I guess one solution would be to split all the pages, rotate individual ones that need it and then recombine all the pages. I may try this with PDFsam.

Thanks again for the recommendation of PDF sam.
