Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Since I have updated to Windows 11 I can print wirelessly, but I am unable to scan from HP Smart App - the app cannot find my printer, even when I provide the IP address

Hi @Winterose,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are unable to scan using your HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Try to uninstall HP Smart and then check if there are any pending updates on your Windows Operating system.

 

  • Start > Settings > Windows Update , then select Check for updates. If updates are available, you can choose to install them.
  • Now try to install HP Smart and check if you are able to scan.

If the issue persists then you may use our alternate scanning application HP Scan and Capture for Windows PC.
