Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Laserjet Pro M28W scans blank. I can scan a document as a JPEG but not as a PDF. I never had any problems with my previous machine. I've tried the hard reboot. Does anyone have any ideas? NB I'm using the old interface because I refuse to sign up for an HP Smart account just to use my scanner. Thanks!

It copies perfectly.

Hi,

What application do you use to open the PDF?

May you see any difference if you open the scanned PDF file using another application such as Adobe Reader, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge?

No,  I get the same viewing with Adobe.

It actually scans one small corner (!).

I resolved the problem by uninstalling all HP software and then reinstalling the 'full software solution' but NOT HP Smart.
