Light bulb scanner very dim, can a new one be replaced

My HP Envy5530 All In One Printer light bar scanner is very dim.  When I try and scan something and have it sent to my compurter for documents, the typing doesn't show up.  I noticed that the bulb is very dim and not bright like it use to be.

Can this scanner light bulb be replaced and if so where?  Or, is it cheaper to just buy another scanner?  Thank you.

Let me try and give some information.Firstly i would clean the glass on the inside of the Printer and also clean the scanner assemble with a soft cloth.As far as think the scanner adjust the brightness of the bulb when it does the pre scan and finds the home position of the scanner.Hope this will help.

When I try to scan something and scan it to the compurter, the page is blank.  It won't show the typing of the letter .  I noticed that the scanner lightbulb isn't very bright.  Does it need a new bulb if one can do this?  Or, is it better to just purchase another printer?  Thank you.

Just for interest what happens when you make a normal copy on the machine.Does it also come out blank?Try to make a copy with the scanner lid open and nothing on the glass and see if the print comes out black.I will look out for the reply.
