Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can check out this resource  (example) if it helps ?

This is applicable for the HP FULL software Scan.

Hope that helps!

Those steps did not work for my printer to make a new scanner shortcut, but thanks anyway

Hi,

Try these steps:

1. Click on Windows Strat Icon  (usually lower left corner)

2. Navigate to the HP printer folder

3. Right click on the HP Scanner Icon and "add to Start"

4, Drag and drop to the desktop

If that doesn't work, perhaps do a uninstall and reinstall of the HP FULL software?

Hope that helps!
