We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

The printer displays "Scanner Error 17" and recommends turning the device off then back on. The scan error will return as soon as the printer is turned back on. From what I can tell the carriage for the flat bed scanner is stuck. This printer is 3 months out of its one year warranty and has scanned 543 documents in total. A local repair facility told me they cannot fix it because HP does not sell parts for "consumer" grade printers. Has anyone else seen this issue?

 

Also, does HP offer any out of warranty service? The only thing I could find on the website is the HP Care Pack but it doesn't look like I would qualify since it needs to be purchased with 30 days of the warranty's expiration.
