Product: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428dw
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

Suddenly, the scanner of our M428 no longer works. We used it less than a week ago. But now we only get "The scanner is busy", when using Open Scanner… from Printers & Scanners in System Preferences, or "The scanner is being used by a remote user" when using HP Easy Scan (version 1.10.0). This happens from multiple (Mac) computers.

Power cycle on printer didn't help. Printer firmware is up to date. Printer prints properly. Its web page is functional.

I run macOS (10.14.6 on my MacBook Pro). Drivers are up to date.

Any idea how this happened?
