Hi,

Apologies for jumping in @TEJ1602, the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus does support automatic two-sided scanning from the ADF:

@issaal- you may scan both sides using the HP Easy Scan app:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hp-easy-scan/id967004861?mt=12

From the HP Easy Scan app select your scanner, then click the Presets menu and click on Edit Settings.

Change the Scan Type to Document and check the bottom box of Scan both sides of page.

Please let me know if you experience any difficulties.

@issaal, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The printer has the automatic duplexing feature for printing documents, while scanning you'll have to manually flip the original document to scan the other side of it. Go through the  Printer Specifications for HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printers for details.

Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for help.

Keep me posted.

Easy Scan software.

Catalina operating system no longer supports 32-bit applications,

HP Smart dose not support Auto Sorting Double Sided Scanning using Automatic Document feeder.
