Hello, I'm looking to silently install drivers and utilities for a Multifunction printer (m282-m285)and deploy them using Intune.

I couldn't find a way a non admin user can install drivers and software. Anyone has an idea ?

I tried with Hp Easy Start, HP Scan and printer Doctor but even if I can let the user run the software when he is trying to install the basic drivers it fails.

If you just need printing, download the Printer Administrator Toolkit from HP and create an install with the HP UPD driver.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I need to install also scanner (and fax but it's less important). No problem to script a Printer installation, but I can't find a way to install the scanner without having users with admin right.

 

Since I have to deploy to 50-60 Intune users , I would like to avoid do it manually.

Hi,

Generally the scanner installation requires admin right, you may install it from an elevated command prompt dialog using an MSIEXEC command and see if that may help,

You may follow the Customize the installation section below, be sure to include an ENTERPRISE=YES attribute
