Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

HP Recommended

HP Laser Jet MFP M29w stopped scanning. Was working fine, then would return no result in HP Scan app. Only options are to add another page, go back, or exit. Downloaded new software, but would not let me install. The assistant treated it as a new product install. Got to plugging in USB, and would not go any further. Installed a new version of HP Scan (old version would not uninstall). Got same result. Have cycled power on PC and printer.  Printer works OK. Scanner scans the document, but returns no result in HP Scan.
