Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My MFP M479fdn will not scan to my laptop.  It says "scanner not detected" although it is connected by USB cable,  The same connection works for printing so it seems to me that it is only the scanner part of the device that does not connect.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, updated the drivers, used the Smart Assistant [sic] and tried using HP's on-line tools.  I would be grateful for some advice.  Thanks AK373
