MFP for ARM-based processor

I have seen a few posts about this, but i am SPECIFICALLY looking for a Color Laserjet MFP that is supported for both scanning AND printing on a new Surface, which is an ARM-based processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon. I know already that i can use the HP universal print driver for printing, but i am trying to figure out scanning; are there any known HP MFP's that can scan as well on ARM-based processors? Do I just use the HP Smart app (which I dont really like because you have to create an account just to scan, but oh well)?  I just want to make totally sure before i buy a new device that it will work, that i have a solution in place instead of finding out something will not work and needing to return the product. Thanks!

If you can create a shared network folder on your ARM system in Windows then nearly every Pro and Enterprise model will work using Network Scan to folder. The advantage is there is NO software required for scanning and it is also faster as you simply load your document, select the scan location and press start.

Ok thanks for the idea and i will look into that if it becomes necessary; i am really looking/hoping for the computer-initiated scan functionality; many of the people i help with these kinds of things are just used to the Full Software install that HP offers, that of couse works with all the Intel-based processor machines. I am just thinking at some point hopefully, most or all printers will just be compatible with all processor styles, and we wont have to treat the ARM machines differently.

I agree that the machine based may not work if someone wants to edit on the fly, but for document storage or capturing documents to scan to email, there is not a single faster method available. People were used to pumping the gas before starting when we had carburetors, how much more reliable is fuel injection for starting? Sometimes people just need to see how it works to truly grasp how it might be better. Especially when you hear the stories of the PC based software losing connection to the printer.

I certainly appreciate your input, and may have to go that route no matter what, given the situation. So just to be totally clear, it sounds like you do NOT know of any scanning software solutions for HP printers/scanners that work with ARM that are available? Thanks for your time!

Nothing that I am aware of but my expertise is focused on corporate solutions where Scan to Folder is the go-to solution.
