I just got a new HP computer and have set up the printer/scanner - all is working fine - but I am used to having a scanner icon on my desktop so I can go right to scanning when needed.  This icon looked like a flatbed scanner with the lid up.  I can't find a way to get that icon back.  Any ideas?

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

 

Try the steps below -

  1. Click the Search icon on your operating system, type Scan into the search bar,
  2. from the shown results right click on Scan To and select Open File Location.
  3. Right click on Scanto.exe and select Send to > Desktop,
  4. it will create a shortcut for the scanning software on your desktop.
