Product: HP Officejet Pro 7740
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Officejet Pro 7740 scan feature stopped working from the printer screen.  I get "Unable to communicate with scanner" error message.  This problem occurred after I accepted an printer update from HP.  I've tried the "fix" feature, but no change.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Can you try to use the HP Smart app? This can be downloaded from the Apps store or Microsoft store.

 

Then add the HP OJP 7740 printer again and try to scan.
