Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I have upgraded to Mac OS Golden Gate Public Beta. I should have waited. I have two HP 4700 printers and one HP 4350 that I am not able to use for printing. I have cleared the previous printers, restarted my Mac, and set up the printers again to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hello @pclindstrom, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We can understand your concern. Since you've upgraded to the Mac OS Golden Gate Public Beta and all three printers (HP 4700 series and HP 4350 series) stopped printing afterward, the issue is likely related to beta operating system compatibility rather than the printers themselves.

As beta versions of macOS are still under development, some printer drivers, HP software, and printing frameworks may not yet be fully compatible.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try:

Remove and re-add the printers using AirPrint

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Remove the printer.
  • Add it again and select AirPrint if available.

Reset the Mac printing system

  • Open Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
  • Restart the Mac and add the printers again.

Verify printer connectivity

  • Confirm the printers are connected to the same network as the Mac.
  • Print a Network Configuration Report (if applicable) and verify they have valid IP addresses.

Test from HP Smart

  • Install or update the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
  • Check whether the printers appear and can print a test page.

Check for macOS Beta Updates

  • Apple frequently releases updates during the beta cycle that address compatibility issues.

To help us investigate further, could you please let us know:

  • Which Mac model you're using?
  • Exact printer names along with the models.
  • Are the printers connected via Wi‑Fi, USB, or Ethernet?
  • What happens when you try to print (error message, printer offline, job stuck in queue, etc.)?
  • Can you print from HP Smart, or do the jobs fail there as well?

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
