HI I am unable to send Mobile Faxes. Each time I send I get an error. Done all troubleshooting like uninstalling app and re-installing. Making sure the printer and the HP app are on the same WifI Network .

Please note the numbers I sent are all valid.

HP support was of no help.

Any tips please ?

Thanks for the detailed info — it sounds like you've already done a lot of the right troubleshooting steps. Since you're using the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw and encountering issues with Mobile Fax, here are some targeted suggestions and resources:

1. Check HP Account and Fax Setup

  • Ensure you're signed into the HP Smart app with the same HP account used to register the printer.
  • Go to the HP Smart app > Mobile Fax > Settings and verify:
    • Your country/region is correctly set.
    • You have accepted the terms of service.
    • The fax number format is correct (include country code if needed).
       

2. Try Sending a Test Fax

  • Use HP’s free test service:
    • Send a fax to 1-888-HPFaxme (1-888-473-2963).
    • You should receive a return fax within 5–7 minutes 
       

3. Update Firmware and App

4. Use a Different Network or Device

  • Try sending the fax from a different phone or tablet.
  • If possible, switch to a different Wi-Fi network or use mobile data (if supported).
     

5. Clear App Cache (Android/iOS)

  • On Android: Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage > Clear Cache.
  • On iOS: Delete and reinstall the app.

Thank you for your efforts. I did try all these methods but I am facing the same issue. Unable to send faxes. The numbers are all valid. Even when I attepmt to send the FREE Fax I still get an error.
