I have a ton of photos to scan with my 9015e. I place 4 on the glass nicely spaced but when I scan them I get 3 images (nicely cropped to each photo edge). If I try scanning 3 images I will get 2 of them scanned and cropped properly. Try scanning 2 photos ... you guessed it ... I will only get 1 image scanned.
It is the oddest thing, and makes multi-item scan unusable. This feature could save me so much time. Does anyone have a suggestion? Many thanks.

Hi,
Please ensure you save a proper spacing among the placed photos on the glass.
Also, from within HP Scan, try right-clicking the used scan shortcut and reset its default, then make sure the Scan Size is set as Detect Content on Page and check for any difference.
If any of above doesn't help, try installing and using the HP Universal Scan Driver instead and check for any difference when using the HP Scan software (without your printer name) instead :

Hmmm, I must admit I did not think to try the stand-alone HP Scan. I was using the HP Smart version you get when you click the Scan button in that program. Then using the "Advance Presets/Multi-Item" selection rather than "Photo".
When using the stand-alone scan program from "HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 Series-HP Scan" and selecting "Detect Photos" (that is all I did, none of the other suggestions) it worked as it should and I got 5 separate pictures with 5 on the glass.
I'm going to call that a victory and continue using it this way. If you have any idea how to get the HP Smart version working properly, I am game to work with you to test whatever you want to try. In any case, thank you for getting me working. This feature is very useful.
