Multifunction printer Laser Jet Pro MFP 3302 hangs when scanning.

As described in the original post, this behavior was experienced after the printer when into idle/sleep state, with no way to disable that feature and minimum of 5 minutes as the possible inactivity timeout. The only workaround for this is to walk up to the printer and tap the screen to wake it up. Scanning from the HP or other scanning software functions normally at that point. 

End of the day, this isn't a huge deal as you're most likely walking up to the printer anyway to place the source document into the scanning bed or tray anyways.

To avoid having to do an annoying and a time consuming workaround is why I came here in the first place. To accept having to do a cold restart of the device each time after scanning and a subsequent standby time seems absurd.

Are there any reactions or solutions from HP on this issue, which is obviously a general one for the whole product series?
