HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I can't seem to scan A3 format, it doesn't make a difference when I select flatbed. I just installed this printer so it should have the entire up to date driver. Hope someone can help because the only reason I bought this thing is to be able to scan A3.

Hi @wardm1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are facing issues with scanning.

It seems like you're encountering an issue with your 7740 Office Pro wide format printer not scanning A3 documents. There could be a few reasons why this is happening. Let's troubleshoot:

Settings: Ensure that the scanner settings are configured correctly to scan A3 documents. Check the scanning software or printer settings to verify the paper size selected for scanning.

Compatibility: Confirm that the scanner is indeed capable of scanning A3 documents. Some printers might have limitations on the maximum paper size they can scan.

Alignment: Make sure the A3 document is properly aligned on the scanner bed. Sometimes, incorrect placement can cause the scanner to misread or not recognize the document size.

Software Update: Check for any firmware or software updates for your printer/scanner. Sometimes, updates can address compatibility issues and improve functionality.

Driver Issues: Reinstalling or updating the printer drivers could potentially resolve scanning problems.

You may refer to this Video URL and see if that helps.

If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with the scanner itself. In such cases, contact HP phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
