I have an HP ENVY Photo 7855 (few years old). It now prints and copies blurry pictures. The pictures are no longer clear.  I use the proper HP photo paper. And I have already cleaned the heads. I need to know how to fix this issue. Thank you, Joanne

Hi @JoanneC123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already taken some initial troubleshooting steps, but there could be a few other factors contributing to the blurry prints. Here are some additional suggestions to try.

  • Check Ink Levels: Make sure your ink cartridges have enough ink. Low ink levels can affect print quality.
  • Print Settings: Ensure that you're using the correct print settings for photo printing. For best results, select the highest quality print option and make sure the paper type is set to match the HP photo paper you're using.
  • Alignment: Run a print head alignment or calibration utility if your printer has one. This can help ensure that the print heads are properly aligned, which can affect print quality.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Check if there are any updates available for your printer drivers or firmware. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
  • Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that could be causing the blurry prints.
  • Print Quality Settings: If your printer has options for adjusting print quality, experiment with different settings to see if that improves the print quality.
  • Inspect Printer Components: Check the printer's rollers and other internal components for any signs of damage or wear that could be affecting print quality.

By going through these steps, you should be able to pinpoint the issue causing the blurry prints and hopefully resolve it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
