Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

HP Smart Tank 7301 will not copy or scan. Use to then all of a sudden. NO!  I've reset printings, reinstalled and still nothing except a E5 error.  Is my scan/copy feature already broke?  It prints but not scan/copy. Is isn't that old at all and we only scan like 5 times a week at most!  There has to be a fix instead of spending money again on a new machines. If I have to it won't be an HP although previously I have loved their products!
