I understand the issue with the scan function on your LaserJet printer. Let’s go recommended steps to restore scanning:

 

Confirm Copy Function
On the printer panel, try making a direct copy. This helps verify if the scanner hardware is working.

 

Reset HP App Connection

  • Open the HP App on your computer.
  • Remove the printer from the app.
  • Restart your computer and printer.
  • Re-add the printer in the HP App.

 

Run Diagnose & Fix

  • In the HP App, select your printer.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to automatically detect and repair issues.

 

Update Drivers and Firmware

 

Test Scan from HP App

  • Open the HP App.
  • Select Scan > Document Mode.
  • Try scanning a test page.

 

Check Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Type your printer’s IP address into a browser.
  • Log in to the EWS.
  • Verify that Scan to Computer is enabled.
