We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Office Jet Pro 8710

Office Jet Pro 8710 was working earlier and has stopped printing and it won't even copy. I have ran the troubleshoot, I have unplugged and restarted. When I try to copy it says copying and just spins. When I try to print is says it sent but then never prints. Cannot print the test page or the internal test page. Printer says it is connected and working. Please help.

@Patie2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print and copy. Does the printer spit out a blank page or it does not respond at all? Let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your computer.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Now, try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

If this does not help, unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.
