I do not know why this quit working. In support help files, it says to clean the paper pick rollers with a lightly damp lint free cloth and the pad. Have power shut off and unplugged, to do this. I have done that and still not working. I have a Hp Officejet Pro 8600 Premium printer. I know its outdated and probably needs replaced, but some of those printers are very high priced. Really like to get ADF to work. Any suggestions on what I can do to troubleshoot this? I really like for this to work for a few more months.

I have been troubleshooting this machine, and cleaned the rollers in ADF feeder, and still will not pull paper in. Is there a part I need to fix this issue? I know this machine is old, but would like it to last me a couple more months. Still scans only if I place paper on scanner. Sometimes I have several papers I need done. I am hoping to get new printer soon. Any suggestions?

@dtrinkle, Welcome to HP Support Community!
If you have already performed the steps from the document The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Does Not Pick Paper and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!

I do recognize that it is a hardware problem. Its getting old. However, It is out of warranty, and will charge me to send it off and get it repaired. I live on a fixed budget, and it would probably just be better to buy a new one, but I can not buy one until next month. I like to fix it myself, but Hp will just want it. I wish they took trade ins. I may have to just put up with just running the scanner one sheet at a time. Thank you,
